In 1972, two young mothers, Marcia Mitchell and Sheryl Poole discovered there were no early intervention services available for their daughters who were both born with visual impairments. Believing God for a 20th-century miracle, they took a great leap of faith and co-founded the Little Light House.

- Located at Christ United Methodist Church at 6000 Old Canton Road in Jackson, the Little Light House – Central Mississippi is financially and operationally independent of its parent school in Tulsa. When we started we had 6 employees (including 3 therapists), a few volunteers and 5 students. In 2014, we have 14 employees, many dedicated volunteers and 32 beautiful students.
