- August 2013: The campground is in a lovely setting on Cheticamp Island, just a 10 minute drive from Cheticamp. There is a nice sandy beach. Just beware of the right-hand side (as you face the water) of the beach, where the septic system seeps onto the beach. It’s easy to see, from the funny-coloured water oozing out of the bank.
